Garden City University is renowned for providing excellent education and in this direction, we are glad to introduce a new program Master’s in Bioinformatics. This program is a direct response to a paradigm shift taking place in medicine and biological sciences. This program provides the required knowledge for students to be able to judge mathematical methods and models, to recognize relevant biological questions, and to correctly interpret the results of the models in a biological context. Bioinformatics combines topics from Biology, Computer Science and Statistics.

Course Highlights

A Master’s degree in Bioinformatics can empower students to apply their knowledge in the field of medicine, developing treatments and procedures for patients suffering from various illnesses. It can aid in developing prevention methods for diseases such as influenza, COVID-19, cancer, heart disease and diabetes. Biomedical research also focuses on finding genetic alterations that can treat genetic diseases. Students will learn how to apply advanced algorithms using graph theory, machine learning, image processing, and data collection and computer simulations. This Program will also help students in developing their programming skills, learning to code in R, Python, Bash, C and Java.
