The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at Garden City University was established in 2017, with a strong commitment to ensuring quality across all university activities. Quality serves as the primary and ultimate parameter for fulfilling stakeholder needs and achieving sustainability. Acting as a guiding force, the GCU IQAC encompasses the university’s operations, administration, and management, following the framework outlined by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It plays a vital role in educating and raising awareness about quality for both internal and external stakeholders.
The unique IQAC model at GCU comprises 11 interconnected variables, including needs and feasibility analysis, adherence to the principles of W. Edward Deming, product and service development, standard operating procedures, quality control mechanisms, implementation, evaluation, auditing, application of kaizen and quality improvement. The university endeavors to deploy this model in all academic and administrative activities to achieve excellence in quality. Customized Higher Education Quality Assurance audits are conducted regularly, leveraging meetings, presentations, and discussions to identify quality gaps and develop improvement strategies. The GCU Management Information System plays a critical role in facilitating the overall functioning of the IQAC.
