Charles P. Alexander, has been a Professor of Philosophy and Behavioural Sciences for the last 25 years. Over the last decade, he has been engaged in teaching and research in the domain of Philosophical Practice, holistic health and behavioural sciences, as part of his holistic-therapeutic voyage. Prior to joining Garden City University, he had worked in both government and non-governmental institutions at various capacities. He was the founder campus head of ICFAI University Nagaland, and his last assignment was as the Vice Chancellor of the University. He was a faculty member in the department of Philosophy at Patkai Christian College (Autonomous), Birla Institute of Technology and Science (Goa Campus), and visiting faculty at Goa Institute of Management.

Scholar in a myriad inter-relate fields, Alexander took his MA (Philosophy) M.Phil. (Philosophy of Psychoanalysis), and Ph.D. (Philosophy of Psychotherapy), from the North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong. For good measure, he also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychopathology & Treatment (PGDPPT); Diploma of Para-Psychology in Hypnotherapy (DPPH); Doctorate of Homoeopathic Medicine (HMD); and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Holistic Health (PGDHH). He had undergone intensive training in Counselling and Transactional Analysis at the Institute for Counselling and Transactional Analysis (ICTA), Kochi.

Alexander has also authored Hidden Fragments of Psychoanalysis (2001), Clinical Philosophy (2005), and Philosophy in Management and Counselling (2013). Apart from this he has co-authored several books, and contributed several research papers to national and international journals of repute. Prof. Alexander was also the principal investigator of an UGC project on Cognition and Human Behaviour (2005-2007). ln his research and writing, his central concern has been to unravel and understand human consciousness, and to apply appropriate holistic methods to the alleviation of human suffering.
